The amount of time needed to cook jalapeño poppers depends on your recipe and your oven temperature, varying from about 15 minutes at 400° to about 30 minutes at 350°.
Any time you're handling spicy peppers, start by putting on gloves. Then, cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and scoop out the insides. Jalapeño poppers are typically filled with either cream cheese, cheddar cheese, or a mixture of both. Other ingredients such as chives, breadcrumbs, or bacon bits can also be included. Experiment to find your perfect combination!

If you purchase jalapeño poppers in a box from the frozen food section at the grocery store, it's recommended to cook them at 450° for 8 to 9 minutes, then flip them over and leave them in for another 7 to 8 minutes.

4½-to-5-pound chicken: 1¼ hours to 1½ hours
Before you serve your chicken, double-check that it's done by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast; it should read 165 degrees. For the best roasted whole chicken, we actually recommend using a slightly higher temperature. For example, cooking a whole chicken in the oven at 425 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes, for a 4-pound chicken, may yield the best tasting whole roasted chicken dinner.
